Celebrating Hadrian’s Wall: Centurion Roman Warrior Illustration
As a Freelance Graphic Designer based in Newcastle, I have a strong connection to the North East of England, and one of the region’s most iconic landmarks, Hadrian’s Wall, has always inspired me.
To honor this historical monument, I created an illustration featuring a Centurion Roman Warrior standing proudly before the wall symbolising the rich heritage of the North East.
Hadrian’s Wall, built nearly 2,000 years ago, represents the boundary of the Roman Empire, and I wanted my design to reflect the enduring power of both the Roman Empire and the people of the North East. I aimed to bring this connection to life through my illustration design skills.
I hope this illustration is not only a tribute to Hadrian’s Wall but also a reminder of the powerful stories embedded in the North East’s history.
